X Factor: Jamiroquai’s Jay Kay calls Dannii Minogue & Cheryl Cole “f***ing useless”

British alternative band Jamiroquai are set to perform on tomorrow night’s X Factor show, to promote their new single and album. But before he even set foot on the ITV stage, band frontman Jay Kay has launched a blistering attack on two of the show’s stars.

The Sun reports that the 40 year old star blasted judges Dannii Minogue and Cheryl Cole saying they are “f****** useless” and added: “What are they going to tell me about f****** music?

He went on:

“What the f***. When have you ever done anything? You’re useless. The pair of you. I mean you look great and I’d like to f****** s**g you but that’s all.”

“I just don’t like the w**** stuff I have to do. F****** X Factor and that. I’m going to have to sing in front of f****** amateurs. Do you know what I mean?”

X Factor is Shit

Since appearing on our screens X Factor has divided opinions between the first group of millions who watch it, fall in love with the drama, sob stories and bitching between the judges.

The second group sit on the sidelines having watched (or are forced to watch) hours upon hours of footage of no talent wannabe singers murder songs that we have grown to love over time.

Im not going to lie to you, I fall very firmly into the second group. I can't stand the sob stories, I can't stand the over blown "journey" the puppet wannabes go on.

But I can't blame people who go on the show to get rich quick, to get the record deal, the press and the christmas number 1. The people I blame are the judges.

Good people to judge talent?

Who declared these people know all to judge what people like and dont like? Who declared that they are good judges of what is best to guide young, desperate people in this quest??

Lets look at them one by one:

Danni Minogue: The number one target of many who argue the show is shit (Im included in this), how can this no talent, never had a hit song in her life, botoxed brunette be allowed to judge any sort of talent?

Cheryl Cole: Probably a symbol for all that is wrong with the world these days. Thrown into the limelight herself from a talent show, Cheryl was part of Girls Aloud originally before leaving an pursuing a solo career. On this "journey" she also married the footballer in what was supposed to be a dream relationship. When it turned into a nightmare she milked it for all it was worth by dragging out her decision in the press.

Everything in Cheryl's life is pounced on and becomes front page news. The only trouble is.... can she sing? We'v seen her dance, and dance extremely well. When shes dancing she pre records her performances so that she only has to sing the last line of her song, hence giving the impression that she has sung the whole track live.

Id say the jury's still out on her as a performer but she definitely does not have enough credibility or enough of a career behind her to be declared a judge of talent

Louis Walsh: The loveable oaf of the group. Only really there for his knowledge of how to get a band together. Louis is no more than a running joke with his snide comments to Simon every now and again.

Simon Cowell: The media mogul who puts the whole thing to together. He has undouted skills in publicity, knows when to speak, the things to say to sway public opinion and always sides with the power members of the judging panel to get his way. He has made all of the money from this show and even if it was ended today he'd walk away a very rich man from all of the "talent" he now manages as part of his Syco record company.

Probably the only man on tv who can get away with being so blatant about the money he makes from the singers. Even when he loses a battle (see Joe McElderry vs Rage against the Machine) he comes out smelling of roses.

In summary, the programme is nothing more than an extended advert for the singers. Simon Cowell and a cash cow for all that touch it. ITV dont have the guts to end it because its the only programme they have other than Coronation Street (which is dieing on its arse) that draw in millions of viewers and hence the advertising money.

X factor really is low level, crap TV. It's like advertising, it will only disappear once people stop taking notice of it.

X factor- FAIL. Too set up/scripted in my humble opinion. #Must be the Music

“its s**t. FACT ! Its everything that I detest about modern western culture. Cowell is the only one who really benefits.

“The fact I’ve never been on it, does not mean I’ve not been asked.

“I’d rather actually eat my own crap, than sit next to any of those goons. Except cheryl, obvs . X

“I’ve better things to do with my time than feed the nation with the notion that doing cover versions will sort your life out.”"
